This past weekend a friend I grew up with, Natalie McIntyre, came
and visited us. It was so nice to be able to show a friend around "our stomping grounds" and share in some wonderful meaningful conversation and to have a old friend become a new friend. I want to say that it has been 10+ years since we have had such a wonderful connecting time and I really hope we don't go that long again!!
On Friday we went to Oxford and spent the day, we have decided
that Oxford is a favourite of ours…on this visit we were able to go and see Tolkien’s
Grave! Such a treat. Then on Saturday we went to Ely Cathedral which is about
an hour from here. It was so beautiful! What I think is so amazing is that it
is this massive, beautiful building in the middle of a very small town. When
you are driving up it really looks like the Cathedral is in the middle of a
field because you can’t see anything else but this Cathedral.
